Abstract
The Appalachian Mountain Club, with assistance from The Nature Conservancy, protects Maine’s Baker Mountain. AMC will open a program center in New York’s Harriman State Park. Voluntary New Hampshire “HikeSafe” cards are available. Clay B. Cook narrates a trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. John Fox reports conservation efforts in the Hudson Highlands of New York and New Jersey.
