A detailed analysis of the events of Emily Sotelo’s solo trail-run of the Franconia Ridge, which ended in tragedy. A longtime engineer on the Mount Washington Cog Railway, Joseph Eggleson, died in a fall while taking a photo on Mount Willard. A man succumbs to hypothermia below Mount Lincoln. Two skiers triggered an avalanche on Wildcat Mountain that buried one of them for long minutes. Hikers get in trouble on Mount Chocorua relying on a trail app.
