Dear Readers,

We are proud to bring you another issue of the Dartmouth Undergraduate Journal of Science. Contained within this issue are a variety of types articles, including exposés of important of scientific phenomena, descriptions of important diseases, reviews of recent scientific research, and an original research article. All of these articles fall under the general topic of Influence, a broad theme allowing writers to describe virtually any scientific topic that they deem meaningful to the world at large.
