Year of Graduation
The client is a large corporate energy consumer with progressive carbon reduction goals. To offset their carbon output, they plan to purchase renewable energy resources, through off-site Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), to do so. The data aggregated in Python included potential renewable offset from solar PV, on-shore and off-shore wind, as well as PPA pricing options, and yearly facility carbon footprints. An Excel tool was then created using linear programming optimization to maximize the 14 year Net Present Value (NPV) with the constraint that the yearly carbon footprint is met.
