"I choose open access because my research is funded by taxpayers by a National Science Foundation grant, and so I think the results should be freely available to all. The progress of science relies on wide dissemination, and the ability to explore and connect with related work is crucial to scientific advance. Paywalls and content restrictions hamper research, and I choose open access to maximize the potential for progress on fundamental mathematical questions."
