Abstract
Renewable Fuel Credits (RFC)s may be sold separately from the physical unit of RNG increasing the value of the gas by 25% or more. Green-e is the only viable RFC certification program in the US, but it excludes RNG produced on dairies with over 700 cows. This project identified the rationale behind this exclusion then prepared recommendations for science based large farm inclusion criteria. In addition to this an analysis of VRs internal operations data was conducted which determined what data is being collected and how it can be used for internal GHG emissions reports and enhanced market analysis.
