Abstract
Clarion is a management consulting firm that engages with clients from the pharmaceutical industry. The focus of this project was to improve the firm’s efficiency in building clinical trial budget models for their clients through the development of an excel tool. Clarion research and cost data from CROs were used to build a model that could estimate clinical trial costs. The model was subsequently generalized to form a tool through the use of VBA programming language. The user can specify the payment structure and cost categories, allowing the model to be quickly customized to meet the needs of new clients.
