Abstract
The 390 project primarily focuses on event-based sentiment analysis to create new indicators based on social media and financial news, etc. using NLP (natural language processing) techniques. In addition to quantitative data available such as pricing, volumes, and returns, the project is attempting to quantify vast amount of textual information such as SEC filings, social media posts and financial news of companies to generate informative indicators.
