Abstract
Transcriptome analysis of the titan arum was performed using floral and leaf tissues harvested from “Morphy” and “Morphy Junior,” two titan arums housed in the greenhouse of the Life Sciences Center at Dartmouth College. De novo transcript assembly for the reads obtained by RNA-seq was performed with Trinity-v2.6.6, using the default settings of >95% identity and a minimum assembled contig length of 200 nucleotides, resulting in the assembly of 915,085 transcripts that clustered as 536,644 genes.
