You want to increase visibility, legitimacy, and readership of your publication, or the publication you are thinking about reviving or starting. At this workshop, you’ll learn about best practices and develop actions for your publication to achieve these goals, including attracting readership and using social media.

Sean Plottner is editor of Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, winner of more than 35 awards uring his 17 years there, including Alumni Magazine of the Year (2008). A magazine editor for more than 30 years, he has held positions at a variety of publications, including The National Sports Daily, Disney Adventures and Golf Digest. He is a graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and lives in Vermont with his wife and two teenage sons.

Amanda M. Spoto (primarily known as Spo!) is a Dartmouth College ’14 alumna and received her Master’s in Cultural Studies with distinction from the Dartmouth Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program in 2016. During her time in MALS, Spo! attended Oxford University’s English Literature Summer School, the Dartmouth Tuck Business Bridge Program, and was involved with the Graduate Student Council (Student Life Chair), Clamantis: The MALS Journal (Editor-in-Chief), and The Dartmouth Law Journal (Assistant Editor). She currently works at a law firm in Manhattan, NY and specializes in Intellectual Property and Entertainment law.
