Abstract
As depression and anxiety increase across the U.S., particularly within young adults, this workshop is intended to educate students on one of the elements that contributes to depressive symptoms: cognitive distortions. It will provide students with the vocabulary to identify ways in which their thoughts become distorted and give them strategies on how to overcome them using principle cognitive reframing, a principle of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) using an interactive activity and time for reflection.
