Abstract
The Demand Planning team at Signify controls the key lever of inventory the company carries to meet market demand. The team relied mainly on retrospective analyses and had no visibility to leading indicators that could help prevent the scenarios of a) not meeting market demand due to underforecasting and b) carrying too much inventory due to over-forecasting. The goal of the project, therefore, was to provide better visibility to the team through a dashboard that would serve as an exception management tool. The deployed tool improved forecast accuracy, service metrics and inventory position, thus impacting overall Supply Chain performance.
