Abstract
Over the past seven years, significant effort and expenses were invested in developing a functionally valuable product for the off-road powersports market. Due to the scale of this investment, it is not feasible to recuperate these costs using a traditional payment model. Therefore, verification of a new business model required a thorough technology assessment and financial analysis to initially determine and then optimize their profitability. This resulted in a culmination of strategies complicated by the organizational structure of companies within the global Bosch Group which will support large-scale negotiations for a tactful financial recovery and business model decisions going forward.
