Abstract
This summer, I participated in an 11-week internship as the Product Development Intern at Sustainable Facilities Management Services (SFMS). SFMS is an integrated facilities management company that provides excellent service through the use of environmentally conscious products and practices. The goal of my internship project was to determine how SFMS could become a contractor with the District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU). I developed a workforce development plan, financial analysis model, marketing plan and project pipeline in order to build a case for how SFMS should pursue future opportunities with the DCSEU.
