Abstract

Clarion Healthcare has been building internal expertise in genetic and cellular therapies, novel treatment options for rare diseases. The focus of this ENGG 390 project was to increase the firm’s secondary research efficiencies in this area, improving their quality of client work while cutting down on costs. Thousands of data entries on genetic and cellular therapies were analyzed to identify a comprehensive classification structure to capture the technologies in space. An excel database tool was created, capable of analyzing the data exports, classifying them by therapy type, therapy specific subtypes, and technology type, allowing for improved data management and cutting down on analysis time.
