Abstract
Financial advisors today are facing various challenges: increasing competition from Robo advisors, high cost and time-intensiveness in the client acquisition process. One of the business incubators at Fidelity Labs is developing capabilities that target Fidelity’s financial advisors, with the aim to help them with business development and client engagement by providing data-driven insights. Several Minimum Viable Products (MVP) were built to gather feedback and iterate on value propositions. This project focused on building an MVP - a propensity model to predict a prospect’s comfort with paying financial advice with leverage of various data science techniques.
