Abstract
GE Renewable Energy is a subsidiary of General Electric Company that focuses on engineering energy products, grid solutions, and digital services for customers that are reliable, affordable, accessible, and sustainable. The focus of this ENGG 390 project was to improve the firm’s intelligence around electricity transmission for wind projects by understanding the impact of interconnection queue time, cost, status, and overall transmission policy. Tools were created, collecting specific indicators that inform decision making on projects for GE to bid into as a supplier, allowing for improved data management and confident decision making when pursuing projects.
