Abstract
The Vanguard International Group is planning to invest a new fruit packing line in order to upgrade technology, expand packing capacity and reduce labor cost. This project is required to recommend the best option from four proposals with detailed analyses. The analyses were conducted from both operational and financial perspective, which include key performance indicators identification, technology and operations comparison, simulation model building, sensitivity analysis processing and internal rate of return calculation. Finally, the packing line that demonstrates the best packing performance and meets investors’ expected return rate was recommended.
