Abstract

As an online retailer aiming to provide customer high quality merchandises with great value, Overstock relies heavily on promotions. However, the buyers, who are responsible for managing promotions with suppliers, don’t have any centralized portal in managing critical actionable data related to site sales. Therefore, as a product management intern in the sourcing and merchandising department, I gathered user requirements, created product requirement documentation, and facilitated the development of UX design of the promotion management dashboard and the automated communication system in the centralized buyer portal, expected to save 10% of buyers’ time and bring 33M GMS lift per year.
